The opening of the GYF Competency Improvement Collaboration PKM was opened

Bayah - 19 November 2022.

Community Service Activities (PKM), a collaboration between six universities in Banten Province, was officially opened. In this collaborative PKM activity, the theme raised was increasing the digital competence of the Geopark Youth Forum (GFY) to carry out Google-based geosite mapping and the ability to manage business online. Business management can be done both for individuals and to form communities in each geosite that is a tourist destination. The six universities involved in this collaborative PKM activity are Bhayangkara University Jakarta Raya, Serang Raya University, Muhammadiyah University Tangerang, STTIKOM Insan Unggul, STIE La Tansa Mashiro and STKIP Latansa Mashiro.

This PKM was opened directly by the director of the Bayah Dome Geopark management body, Ir. H. Engkap Kapriadi. In his speech, Engkap stated that he really welcomed and appreciated the activities carried out because they had a positive impact on the GYF team as one of the driving forces for the sustainability of Geopark. Apart from that, this activity can also be used as an indicator for the management body to meet the standards for the assessment form to become a National Geopark. Engkap hopes that this activity will not only stop here, but that there will be further activities that are routinely carried out, for example joint research activities. Currently the Bayah Dome Geopark has 32 geosite points spread across the Bayah area and its surroundings, and to manage it requires skilled young people, especially those who have digital skills and master technology.

This PKM activity also received a positive response from the Bayah sub-district. In his speech, Budi expressed his gratitude for the willingness of the PKM Collaboration team to provide guidance to young children who are members of GYF. Higher education tri dharma activities should be in harmony with what is happening in the field so that various problems can be easily overcome.

The third speech was delivered by the Chair of the Research and Community Service Network (JPPM). In his speech, Munandar expressed his thanks for the willingness of the Geopark Management Board and Bayah District to allow the lecturer team to carry out community service activities. Apart from realizing one of the tri dharmas of higher education, this activity should have its main mission be to disseminate knowledge. Implementing knowledge and theories existing in the academic world with real problems in the field. Reducing the gap between theory and problems that occur in the real world. In essence, this PKM activity is not intended to teach PKM participants, but rather to share experiences, discuss and capture what is not obtained in the academic world, especially regarding various problems that exist in society. Munandar further revealed that JPPM is a community formed to accommodate university lecturers, especially in Banten, to carry out tri dharma activities collaboratively. This activity itself is planned to be carried out for three weeks starting this week.

In this first week of PKM activities, three materials were presented. The three are the introduction and strengthening of geopark information towards the UNESCO Global Geopark which was delivered by a team of lecturers from the Informatics Study Program at Bhayangkara University. In the second material, techniques for managing tourism businesses around geosites are presented using the Google My Business platform. The final material to conclude the first week of PKM relates to how to map geosites or tourist locations using the Gmap platform. In this way, the geosite and tourist locations along the Bayah Dome Geopark can be mapped properly.

To measure the absorption of the material presented, the PKM team also provided pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The first week of PKM activities ended at 15.30 WIB with interesting discussions from the GYF participants.
