JPPM Holds National Collaborative PkM Preparation Meeting, Involving 21 Lecturers from Various Universities

The Research and Community Service Network (JPPM) held an online National Collaborative Community Service Program (PkM) Preparation Meeting on April 23 2026, which was attended by 21 lecturers from various partner universities in Indonesia. This activity is the first step in strengthening synergy between academic communities to implement a collaborative service program with the theme "Strengthening the Digital Capacity of the Young Generation through Literacy, Cyber Security, and Developing Technology-Based Creativity."

This warm and productive meeting featured collaborators from IndoCEISS West Nusa Tenggara Province, IndoCEISS East Kalimantan Province, Bhayangkara University Greater Jakarta, Bumigora University, Flores University, Nusa Nipa University, Mulawarman University, STTIKOM Insan Unggul Cilegon, Nusa Putra University, Krakatau Polytechnic Cilegon, and STIKOM Artha Buana Kupang. The presence of lecturers across institutions shows a shared commitment to building a national collaboration-based community service model that has a broad impact.

During the meeting, two main PkM themes were discussed which will be implemented in stages over four weeks. The first theme, Collaborative Movement for Digital Literacy and Cybersecurity in Society, focuses on increasing public understanding regarding media ethics, overcoming hoaxes and phishing, account and personal data security, device security, and digital incident response. The second theme, Increasing the Digital Competence of the Young Generation through Creativity, AI and Personal Branding Training, is aimed at strengthening digital mindsets, utilizing AI for productivity, and developing digital content creativity.

By presenting the implementation timeline, the meeting participants agreed on a PkM implementation scheme in two main stages over four weeks, starting from opening and strengthening digital literacy, continuing with cyber security material, then moving on to developing AI-based digital competencies, creativity, content design, to the production and publication of digital content. This program is also designed to produce measurable outcomes, such as increasing participants' digital literacy, personal branding drafts, AI-based assignments, participant mini portfolios, and publication of activity results.

Apart from discussing the substance of the program, the meeting also resulted in a number of strategic follow-up actions, including the division of lecturer teams based on material, preparation of modules and teaching materials, development of pre-tests and post-tests, preparation of activity TORs, creation of program flyers, as well as initiation of draft cooperation between institutions through an MoU and Implementation Agreement (IA). Collaboration outputs are also directed at the publication of scientific articles, training modules and joint PkM results reports.

The head of the Tb network, Ai Munandar, said that this collaboration is not only a space for synergy between universities, but also a form of real contribution from academics in responding to society's needs for inclusive and sustainable digital transformation.

"Through this national collaboration, we want to provide service that is not just ceremonial, but has a direct impact in strengthening digital literacy, cyber security, as well as increasing the creativity and productivity of the younger generation," he said in the meeting forum.

This preparatory meeting is the initial milestone in the implementation of collaborative PkM which is expected to become a model of cross-university service that is innovative, adaptive, and relevant to the challenges of the digital era. With the support of collaborators, JPPM is optimistic that this program will make a real contribution to community empowerment and strengthening the national academic collaboration ecosystem.
