JPPM Members Again Win Grants for the State University Operational Assistance Program (BOPTN) PFR Scheme

Serang, 07 June 2024 – The Research and Community Service Network (JPPM) has once again recorded achievements on the national stage. One of his team members, Dr. Rina Oktaviyanthi, M.Pd., who is also a lecturer at the Mathematics Education Study Program at Serang Raya University, succeeded in winning a grant in the State University Operational Assistance Program (BOPTN) for Research and Community Service for the 2024 Fiscal Year. This success was stated in the Decision of the Budget User Authority of the Directorate of Research, Technology and Community Service Number 0459/E5/PG.02.00/2024 which was published on May 30 2024.

Research proposal submitted by Dr. Rina with the title "Objective Measurement Model of Mathematical Cognitive Load in Formal Limit Learning Designed with Microlearning Intervention Using Electroencephalogram (EEG) Diagnostic Records" succeeded in winning a grant under the Regular Fundamental Research (PFR) scheme. This research aims to develop an objective measurement model of mathematical cognitive load, especially in learning the concept of mathematical limits, by utilizing advanced Electroencephalogram (EEG) technology designed in microlearning interventions.

The EEG technology used in this research allows a more accurate measurement of students' cognitive responses in understanding limit material, a concept that is known to be quite complex in mathematics. With the microlearning approach, which is a learning method based on small pieces of material that can be absorbed more effectively, it is hoped that the cognitive load felt by students can be minimized, thereby increasing the effectiveness of learning.

Dr. Rina Oktaviyanthi, M.Pd., apart from being active as a lecturer, also acts as Co-Founder of the Research and Community Service Network (JPPM), an organization that focuses on research development and community service. This achievement is not only a matter of pride for Serang Raya University, but also makes JPPM proud as a forum that continues to encourage its members to innovate and contribute to the fields of research and community service.

The Chairman of JPPM, Tb Ai Munandar, expressed his pride in this achievement. "We are very proud and appreciate Dr. Rina Oktaviyanthi's hard work. This success shows JPPM's commitment to supporting quality research that is beneficial for the development of science and education in Indonesia," he said.

Furthermore, he hopes that this research can have a broad positive impact, not only in the academic sphere, but also in educational practice in the field. "We hope that the model developed by Dr. Rina can be implemented widely and become an important reference in developing more effective and efficient learning strategies throughout Indonesia," he added.

Meanwhile, Dr. Rina Oktaviyanthi, M.Pd. expressed his gratitude for the support provided by JPPM and Serang Raya University. "The support I received was very meaningful in the course of this research. I hope that the results of this research can make a real contribution to advancing mathematics education in Indonesia," he said.

With this success, JPPM has further strengthened its position as one of the leading research networks in Indonesia, which not only focuses on developing science, but also on real implementation in the field. Dr. Achievements It is hoped that Rina Oktaviyanthi can be an inspiration for other researchers to continue to innovate and work for the progress of the nation.
